- Scorpios catch a LOT of heat for simply just being Scorpios! My daughter is a Scorpio. Sometimes it’s scary but thankfully she loves me so I don’t see her spicy side too often.
- Though Scorpio is a water sign, I went with a deep red bookcase because if you’ve ever met a Scorpio you know they give off a little dark, bold, mysterious energy.
- Maybe it’s because my daughter’s birthday is so close to Halloween, or because she was born in Louisiana, but I always find Scorpios to be extra witchy. They are very resourceful and they just make things happen. If you ever tell them they can’t, they will. For that reason, I made the Scorpio bookcase heavy on the crystals and light on the books, as a play on that trait.
- I added a little strawberry moon at the top of the bookcase because if there’s one thing my sweet Scorpio baby loves it’s a cotton candy sky & a beautiful moon.
- The crystals:
- aquamarine: blue like the water to represent the water sign. Aquamarine is a great crystal for Scorpios to help them stabilize their intense feelings.
- black tourmaline: for a Scorpio’s protection from negative thoughts & energies.
- amethyst: Scorpios can benefit from the energy of an amethyst, especially during times of transformation and growth.
- citrine: these stones can be used to bring out all the good things in & for Scorpios, like creativity & happiness. It was important for me to add this specific stone in because was Sylene was younger her favorite color was yellow, and I always called her my little sunshine baby. Citrine stones were the perfect stone to represent that part of my little Scorpio baby.
- For the centerpiece on the Scorpio bookcase I went with a pink geranium. I loved the contrast of the color against the dark bookshelf, and galactic black flower pot. But pink geraniums are associated with love. And if you ever have the chance to know and love a Scorpio, I highly recommend it.
